Another round of "helpful" tips for me. One of which is good for this weekend's parties.

Kurt Cobain...The Musical?

Apparently it's true. Courtney Love is working on bringing out the story of Kurt Cobain through Broadway.

Now lucky for you, I found some secret audio of the entire performance. You've got to hear this surprise ending.

Is the Mohawk Good or Terrible?

First, brain surgery makes it look awesome.

Now on to the real reason I posted it. Our sales girl, Katie, seems to think I look like someone from the movie 300 and hates the 'hawk.

Does everyone think that?

Should it be called the E-Hawk or the Hawk-E?

Sound off now: Facebook

My Daily Halloween Tips

I want to keep you safe this Halloween with tips you probably have never heard before.

Another Week of Marriage Advice from our Weekender King

I was a little lost last week when our Weekender King couldn't make it in for our weekly Marriage Advice.

Thankfully he's back and I could rest assure he'll lead me in the right direction as I get ready for the big plunge.

Lazy E's Halloween Tips

I don't want to spoil my rant in the audio, but lets just say "some people" wanted me to give Trick or Treating Tips on the air and they were corny as hell.

So instead of that stocked information, I give you Lazy E's Halloween Tips.

Elevator Prank

Had to share this prank. Amazing use of flat screen TVs.

The Black Keys Love Some (Wu) Tang

I really hope most of you got the joke in the title.

Anyways, The Black Keys found a unique alliance in RZA from the Wu Tang Clan to make The Baddest Man Alive for "The Man with the Iron Fists" movie soundtrack.

Here's the video, also featuring the rapper and it's pretty good considering today's standards for music videos (Take a live performance and make it a video)

Patriots vs Jets = Rock

If you're a football fan (and if you're not, you might be a communist), you had to enjoy the game between the Pats and the Jets yesterday. Regardless of the outcome, it came down to OT and really you can't ask for more than that.

But we got it.

Two new(ish) songs from rock legends Aerosmith and Lenny Kravitz.

If you didn't know, Lenny Kravitz is a huge Jets fan and said the passion for the team really helped his song writing through the years. So it was only fitting for him to write a new anthem for the team.

Well the Patriots couldn't be outdone by their bitter rivals, so they recruited Boston natives and Patriot fans, Aerosmith to rework their single "Legendary Child" into a Patriots themed song

Both of these are available, for free, and in high quality at PepsiAnthems.com, but before you do that, let me know which you think is the better song. Hit me up on my Facebook

Exclusive Green Day Concert Video

Last month Green Day played an exclusive concert at the Irving Plaza in NYC to celebrate the launch of a new mobile music streaming service, Nokia Music.

Now the band has posted the last 24 minutes on the concert (as seen above) for you to enjoy.

Alanis Morissette Music = Domestic Abuse

If you missed the story on the air, here's the article

A 24-year-old man from Jacksonville, Florida found that relationships with people who don't share your taste in music can be a jagged little pill to swallow. Twenty-four year-old Allen Casey was arrested on Sunday for allegedly smashing his boyfriend in the face with a plate when he refused to stop playing Alanis Morissette's music.

KSAT-TV reports 33-year-old Todd Fletcher suffered a cut on his face; witnesses also saw Casey punching his man as their disagreement spilled outside. Regarding the Alanis-inspired violence, Fletcher reportedly told cops, "That's all that [expletive] listens to."

That's pretty insane, right? I just wish there was some audio or video of the event. Luckily, thanks to the Night Time Actors, we were able to imagine what it was like.

When Radio Recordings Go Wrong

So happy I got to bring back this segment tonight. Today I was recording our sales girl, Shanon, and a very naughty word slipped.

A new snippet of Soundgarden's King Animal

Red Hot Chili Peppers are definitely one of my favorite bands of all time and when I got a last minute call that drummer Chad Smith wanted to join the show, I did not hesistate.

We talked about a host of things including replacing a long time member of the band, bringing our live CDs, and their new album in 2013.

Making fun of Browns fans because I can

Now does me posting this video have anything to do with the Browns beating the Bengals this past Sunday? Yes. Does that make me a bitter fan? Probably. Do I care? Nope.

So I present to you a Browns fan sticking his head into a bucket of urine for $450

The Golden Vibrator

Today I was talking about the new 24-karat-gold vibrator from MySecretLuxury.com and they seem to think this is a new thing, but I beg to differ.

Just a couple days ago I recorded a commercial for a product very similiar.

Give it a listen.

The First Ever 979 X Debate

Well the Vice Presidential debate was last night and lets face it, it was pretty boring. So we decided to have our own debate here between our weekender King and I.

Now apparently King thinks there was a little fowl play involved, so once you listen to it, we need your opinion. Tell us who you think won over at my Facebook and we'll go over your results Monday night around 7:40.

The Lazy E Lounge featuring Papa Roach

This weeks rendition of the Lazy E Lounge is like no other. It features Papa Roach and their single Still Swinging.

Now since it's the only song on 979 X to feature dubstep, I figured the Lounge needed to feature it too.

Check it out.

Another Week of Marriage Advice from King

It was a little under a week ago that I announced I was getting married and everyones been so supportive.

That doesn't help me. I need another perspective.

That's where King comes in with his "unique" help.

Great photos from my trip to Cincy

As you all know by now, I'm a Cincinnati Bengals fan (I know, you're jealous)

And this past weekend, me and my buddies took our yearly trip to the motherland.

Now I won't bore you with all the details, but basically the Bengals lost to Miami and for me and two of my buddies, it was devastating to drive that far only to come home with a loss. Plus what made it worse was we brought our other friend who's a Dolphins fan.

As seen below, we didn't treat him too well at the hotel after.

But all in all a fun trip and at least we met the infamous fan all Bengals lovers know after years of loyalty.

The Taken plot happened here

A lot of people have been complaining that the movie Taken 2 isn't a good movie because the same situation happened in the original Taken.

Well I think it's totally reasonable considering how many times that actually happens. Infact it happened here at 979 X.

Lucky for you, I have the audio. So listen to the horrific moment below.
(the kidnapper sounds a lot like the guy who made the goofy commercial in the post below)

Our Midday guy makes funny voices

When Radio Recordings Go Wrong

When recording people in the studio for commercials, sometimes things go wrong and I decided why not make it a bit.

So I present you with another edition of

When Radio Recordings Go Wrong

Red Hot Chili Peppers Bonus Tracks

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have released two more tracks left off the I'm With You album called "Never is a Long Time" and "Love of Your Life" (which you can hear below).
